Wells Newell

Wells Newell joined the Friedman-Roth team in January of 2016. He brings nearly 40 years of real estate experience with him, as well as an entrepreneurial spirit and a proven track record.
His real estate career began just four years after graduating from Rollins College with a B.A. By 1979 Wells had a Real Estate Sales License from New York University. He began working on the Upper East Side with Ziegler Real Estate, where he worked as a rental agent.
In 1983, Wells branched out into commercial real estate and joined W.S. & G. Real Estate Inc., here in NYC. His specialty proved to be his success in selling apartment buildings in the Washington Heights and Inwood areas, both located in Upper Manhattan. Over the next seven years, Wells sold well over 100 buildings in these areas.
When W.S.& G. merged with The John Anthony Group, Inc. in 1990, Wells continued his success as a broker with the firm. He was with The John Anthony Group for 15 years at which point he started his own commercial real estate company with two other associate brokers. Together they formed The Reilly Mann Newell Realty Group, LLC which was very successful for the three real estate experts. Unfortunately, market conditions and the recession eventually took its toll, and the men dissolved the company in 2011.
At that point, Wells decided to form his own real estate company called Wells Newell Realty LLC. Wells ran his own company successfully until Friedman-Roth Realty Services LLC was able to lure him away in the fall of 2015.
Wells now works with a team of knowledgeable and experienced brokers at Friedman-Roth, many of whom he has known and worked with over the last 33 years.
Wells’ coworkers and clients find his knowledge of the NYC real estate market remarkable and his love of the real estate business infectious. Wells credits his success in the business over the years to honesty, integrity and negotiating skills.
